# Connect an AI assistant to Replyhand

Replyhand serves a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP) at https://replyhand.com/mcp. Its tools manage the person’s Replyhand account with their own role.

- Server URL: https://replyhand.com/mcp
- Sign-in: OAuth 2.1 against Replyhand (discovery from the 401, client ID metadata documents or dynamic registration, PKCE). There is no API key: the person signs in with their Replyhand account in the browser, picks all their workspaces or only some, and allows it. A connection to several workspaces names one in every tool call.

## If you are an AI assistant

Find the app you are running in and do its steps yourself. The person only signs in and approves in the browser. Use the server name replyhand.

### Claude Code

```sh
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user replyhand https://replyhand.com/mcp
claude mcp login replyhand
```

The login command opens the browser for the person to sign in and approve. Then ask them to restart Claude Code or run /mcp so the server loads.

### Codex

```sh
codex mcp add replyhand --url https://replyhand.com/mcp
codex mcp login replyhand
```

### Gemini CLI

```sh
gemini mcp add --transport http --scope user replyhand https://replyhand.com/mcp
```

Then ask the person to run /mcp auth replyhand in Gemini CLI to sign in.

### Cursor (~/.cursor/mcp.json)

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "replyhand": {
      "url": "https://replyhand.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

### VS Code (.vscode/mcp.json)

```json
{
  "servers": {
    "replyhand": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://replyhand.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

### Antigravity (mcp_config.json)

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "replyhand": {
      "serverUrl": "https://replyhand.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

### Any other app (local servers only)

Add a local server that runs mcp-remote; it opens the same sign-in in the browser.

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "replyhand": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "mcp-remote",
        "https://replyhand.com/mcp"
      ]
    }
  }
}
```

## Chat apps (the person does this)

Chat apps add the server from their own settings. Tell the person:

- Claude (web, desktop and mobile): Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector. Paste the URL and choose Connect. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds it first.
- ChatGPT: turn on developer mode in Settings, then add the URL as a custom MCP server under Plugins.
- Grok, Gemini, Perplexity, Le Chat, Muse and other chat apps: add a custom connector with the URL.

## After connecting

The first time, each assistant opens Replyhand to sign in. You choose the workspaces and whether it can make changes, and you can disconnect it anytime in Settings, under Account.
